Rev. Wahhab Baldwin is serving as Transformational Interim Minister for Lake Washington Christian Church and traveling with us through the next stage of our spiritual journey as we explore where God is calling us and prepare to call a settled pastor.

Wahhab grew up in Southern California. He received a B.A. degree from Reed College, an M.A. in Systems Counseling from the Leadership Institute of Seattle (Bastyr University), and an M. Div. from Seattle University. A lover of God and practicing mystic throughout his adult life, he had a long and successful career in software development and management before his calling to Christian Ministry.

Wahhab was ordained as a Disciples of Christ minister in 2005. After his ordination, he and his wife Kay started a house church bringing meditation and other spiritual practices into Christian worship, which has been meeting at their home for the past three years. Wahhab has held a number of roles in the Northwest Region of our denomination, including serving on the Vision team and Writing team, as chair of the Turner Lecture committee and co-chair of the New Church Committee. He currently serves as Moderator of the Region’s Mission Council.

Wahhab and Kay have three adult children and two grandchildren and a cat, Felicia.
