Assembled each week under our roof are some of
the most interesting people! In addition to our Sunday morning coffee hour,
we provide lots of activities so that you can get to know the people with
whom we share our church life. Here is a brief description of some of our

Purl Jam (Knitters) - August 29 at 1 PM - We will meet at the
Village Yarn and Tea shop in Lake Forest Park. Bring your knitting,
crocheting, or other hand-work. Everyone is welcome
– beginners to experts.
Book Club
- August 31 at 7 PM - The book club
is taking a short break for the summer. Choose
a book of your own and tell us about it in August. And bring the title
of a book you want to read this fall.
New members are always welcome!
LWCC Women's Retreat - September 17-19 -
This year we are going to the Cornerstone Lodge outside of Leavenworth.
Join us for a weekend of mountain merriment. The sign-up deadline will be
Sunday, 9/5. To see pictures and the floor plan of the lodge visit

"Fun" Raiser Auction - October 16 - A special evening of fine food and fun. An opportunity to support
Lake Washington Human Services,
Kirkland Interfaith Transitions
in Housing (KITH), and LWCC. You may be able to pick up a bargain,
too.
Piecemakers (Quilters) - TBA - We will begin working
on a quilt for the auction. Anyone interested in helping with this
project is invited. We gather about 10 AM in the nursery or fellowship
room. No previous sewing experience is needed to participate.
Bring your machine and other quilting supplies if you have them.

Halloween Trunk or Treat - October after Worship
- A “Boo-riffic” Halloween Party. Come prepared
to decorate your car trunks and the kids will go trunk to trunk for their
goodies.
Holiday Decorating Party - November
- Carol, share wassail, and decorate the sanctuary in this
meaningful event that prepares us for Christmas.
Officer Installation - In January we install our new Board members, Elders, and
Deacons.
Spring Clean-Up Day - March - There will be work
done both inside and out as we spiff up the place for Palm Sunday and
Easter. With lots of hands the work will go fast, be light, and more
fun. The work will begin at 9 AM and you are invited to give the time
you can.
Dads Against "The World" Softball Game
- June - An annual picnic-potluck and softball
challenge. Maybe this year "The World" will prevail!
